Supplier Quality Engineer
A fast growing electrical company is looking for a responsible and goal-oriented Supplier Quality Engineer to join their team in Morganton, North Carolina. As Supplier Quality Engineer you will provide senior level support to ensure successful performance of the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities of the Supplier Quality Engineer:
- Responsible for new product approval through First Article Review, verification and validation.
- Perform on-site audits for the supplier quality system
- Spearhead supplier performance improvement projects
- Act as the voice of the customer in terms of product quality
- Use corrective action process (8D) to assist in managing supplier quality relationships
Key Qualifications of Supplier Quality Engineer:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- Minimum 5+ years of supplier quality engineering experience
- 6 Sigma Green belt or ASQ certified
- Extensive experience using ISO 9001 Quality Systems
This position will require up to 50% travel.
