With an annual procurement spend of 500 million euros, we are seeking a Strategic Procurement Manager to join our team in Switzerland and play a pivotal role in optimizing our procurement processes.
Job Overview: As the Strategic Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic procurement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of procurement function. With a focus on driving cost savings, mitigating risks, and building strong supplier relationships, you will contribute to the company's overall success in a dynamic and fast-paced industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for key categories, leveraging market insights, and optimizing the supply chain for maximum efficiency.
Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts, and collaborating on innovative solutions to drive mutual success.
Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities for cost savings and value creation within the procurement process, ensuring alignment with budgetary targets.
Risk Management: Assess and mitigate risks associated with the supply chain, implementing strategies to ensure business continuity and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and quality, to align procurement strategies with overall business goals.
Market Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and emerging technologies to inform strategic procurement decisions.
Budget Management: Manage and control the procurement budget, tracking spending against targets and implementing cost control measures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; MBA or relevant professional certifications are a plus.
- Proven experience as a Strategic Procurement Manager in the FMCG industry.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and project management skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Familiarity with procurement software and tools.
- Fluency in English; additional languages, especially German, is a plus.
