Senior Manufacturing Engineer
We are seeking an individual to establish and maintain a new manufacturing process line using cutting-edge technology, including automation, 3-D printing, and robotics. The goal is to identify and implement improvement opportunities, applying lean manufacturing methodologies to ensure simpler, faster, cost-effective, and reliable production methods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts to optimize production flow, equipment installation, processing steps, machining, and material flow for military products.
- Design the layout of machines within plant facilities for maximum efficiency and productivity. Specify procedures for tool and equipment fabrication and other processes affecting product performance.
- Implement Digital Build Records and Component Bar Code Traceability system.
- Take responsibility for machinery, equipment, and tool performance to ensure efficiency. Investigate and resolve issues to maintain product quality and sustainability.
- Develop manufacturing processes suitable for statistical process control and possess the ability to implement these techniques.
- Integrate inspection and testing requirements into the production plan.
- Provide guidance to design engineering teams on design concepts and specifications to optimize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
- Ensure compliance of processes and procedures with regulations.
- Regularly collaborate with design engineers, quality engineers, manufacturing engineers, and shop floor personnel.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) with at least 9 years of engineering experience.
- Master's degree in STEM field preferred.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, customer specifications, and quality requirements.
- Ability to independently set up and process jobs to specification.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Capable of working effectively in a team environment with engineering peers and manufacturing operators.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic, technical work environment.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
