Job Description | Firearms Product Manager
Responsibilities:
- Strategy Development: Formulate and implement strategies for accessory product lines, ensuring alignment with the company's goals and market trends.
- Product Roadmaps: Define product roadmaps, pricing, and positioning strategies.
- Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to identify customer needs, competitor offerings, and emerging trends. Use these insights to guide product development and marketing strategies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with design, engineering, manufacturing, and marketing teams to conceptualize, develop, and launch new accessory products, managing the entire product development lifecycle from ideation to commercialization.
- Product Launches: Plan and execute successful product launches, including coordinating marketing campaigns, creating sales materials, and ensuring product availability and visibility.
- Sales Support: Provide the sales team with product knowledge, training materials, and sales tools. Collaborate with sales channels to drive accessory product sales and meet revenue targets.
- Performance Monitoring: Track key performance metrics such as sales volume, revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Analyze data to identify opportunities for optimization and growth.
- Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of accessory products, including updates, enhancements, and end-of-life decisions. Develop strategies to maximize revenue and minimize costs throughout the product lifecycle.
- Team Collaboration: Coordinate with marketing, sales, supply chain, and customer support teams to ensure alignment and effective communication across functions.
- Business Plans: Assist in implementing business plans for each product segment to achieve cost, quality, delivery, and revenue targets.
- Technical Advisor: Serve as the product knowledge expert and technical advisor for accessory product line during sales training or marketing events.
- Inventory Management: Warranty Parts Associate to order warranty parts and maintain inventory.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Recommend and implement changes in existing programs.
- Participate in necessary foreign travel.
- Conduct research projects as required.
- Attend trade shows and events as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality to protect organizational value.
- Adhere to all ISO standards applicable to the company.
- Wear required Personal Protective Equipment at all times.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of firearms safety.
- Maintain a clean workstation and department area.
- Report maintenance and safety issues to management immediately.
- Foster a positive attitude towards coworkers and the company.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with coworkers and management.
- Actively support the 5S process within the work area daily.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Knowledge:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
- Knowledge of firearms is required.
- Familiarity with firearm optics and accessories is preferred.
- At least 3 years of product management experience in the firearms industry.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in data analysis and market research techniques.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and influence stakeholders.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and achieving targets.
- Creative thinker with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
- Ability to make strategic decisions and take initiative.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent research and negotiation skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O is preferred.
