We are seeking a skilled Procurement Manager to oversee both indirect and direct procurement activities within our dynamic medical device company. The ideal candidate will have experience in sourcing a wide range of goods and services, with a specific focus on medical device components and associated indirect categories.
Responsibilities:
Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that optimize cost savings, supplier performance, and inventory management across both indirect (e.g., IT, facilities, services) and direct categories (e.g., medical device components, raw materials).
Supplier Management:
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure favorable terms, pricing, and service levels.
- Identify and onboard new suppliers as needed, conducting thorough assessments of their capabilities and compliance with regulatory standards.
Inventory Control:
- Collaborate with inventory management teams to maintain optimal stock levels of critical medical device components while minimizing excess inventory and carrying costs.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure procurement activities adhere to regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., FDA, ISO).
- Proactively identify and mitigate procurement risks, including supply chain disruptions and quality issues.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal stakeholders such as R&D, manufacturing, quality assurance, and finance to support new product development, cost reduction initiatives, and overall business objectives.
Performance Analysis:
- Track and analyze procurement performance metrics (e.g., cost savings, supplier performance) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Strong negotiation skills and a demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- In-depth knowledge of medical device regulations and compliance requirements (e.g., FDA, ISO standards).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
