Our client is a leading logistics firm with a global prescence, and they are actively looking for a Procurement & Projects Manager to join their team in the Netherlands!
Your Role:
As Manager Procurement & Projects you will be part of a highly dedicated and professional team, which is responsible for delivering the highest quality of service to an internationally dedicated client base. The main purpose of your role will be setting up and maintaining the executional, tactical and strategic approach of the procurement activities within the Asset division.
Key responsibilities
- Creating a procurement driven mind-set throughout the organisation
- Bringing constant focus and financial results in challenging the 'status-quo' in activities: Challenge the suppliers, Challenge the methods of procurement, Challenge the types, composition of the suppliers
- Finding new technologies & innovations that can improve services
- Implement all of the above in a smooth way together with the various internal and external stakeholders
- Setting up and maintaining the right follow-up tools to monitor the supplier portfolio and the procurement activities
Your Profile
- Have at least 5 years of specific work experience in an international oriented logistics procurement job role
- Have a strong affinity with logistics and transport, especially container and trailer transport throughout Europe
- Project management skills and tactical & strategic decision making based on data
- Educated to a minimum of HBO level or equivalent (preferably in logistics)
- Strong personality and team spirit
- Good knowledge of MS Office computer packages
