Role Summary:
As the Lead Buyer for Maintenance Repair Operations (MRO) & Packaging materials, you'll play an essential part in ensuring our client's supply chain runs efficiently. You'll work with cross-functional teams to identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards. Your primary responsibilities include:
Key Responsibilities:
- MRO and Packaging sourcing experience
- Develop sourcing strategies that meet business objectives
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts
- Identify areas where costs can be reduced without compromising on quality or service levels
- Ensure timely delivery of goods by managing inventory levels effectively
Qualifications/ Skills Required:
To excel as the Lead buyer within this organization requires previous experience working with indirect procurement categories such as MRO and packaging material ideally from Pharmaceutical sector.
Other key qualifications/skills required are :
* Experience leading projects focused on strategic sourcing activities aimed at achieving significant savings whilst driving process improvements;
* Demonstrable ability to build effective relationships internally across multiple functions including but not limited; Supply Chain Management ,Operations,QA/QC etc ;
* Must have strong analytical skills combined with excellent communication abilities both oral/written in German and English.
