Our client is a leader in technological advancements in the communication industry, seeking a Head of Site Purchasing to join their Headquarters in Brussels. As a subcontractor in Electronics Manufacturing Services, the company prioritises efficiency and innovation when it comes to their products, covering a range of markets including automotive, healthcare, infrastructure and more. In this role, you have the opportunity to utilise multiple years of procurement expertise to help the company's ambitious growth plans become reality in the coming years.
You will be responsible for leading 10 people located in both Belgium and Romania, reporting directly to the Chief Procurement Officer.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Coordinating and administering procurement activities for materials and components essential for production organization.
- Developing and implementing internal and external supplier relationship plans.
- Creating a dynamic negotiation strategy to secure market-conforming prices and conditions for components.
- Executing contracts and overseeing delivery within local systems, authorizing purchases according to the procurement plan.
- Managing weekly Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and addressing shortages.
- Providing periodic reports on supplier relationships, supply risks, and supplier performance.
- Refining roles and duties for a team of 10 buyers, supporting their daily operations.
- Monitoring stock levels.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience as a seasoned procurement manager, preferably in a technical field.
- Technical proficiency and understanding of electrical components and cabling.
- Possession of a Bachelor's Degree from a university.
- Proficiency with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English; Dutch is an advantage
- Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to prioritize tasks effectively.
