We are working with one of our clients who are a global leader in production of steering systems. They are searching for a Head of Quality to transform the department for one of their sites in Sachsen Anhalt.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and implement new structures within the quality department to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with automotive normative regulations and standards.
- Lead and oversee quality improvement initiatives to ensure continuous enhancement of product quality and processes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to drive quality-related initiatives and resolve issues.
- Provide strategic direction and guidance to the quality team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular audits to assess compliance with quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
- Manage and mentor a team of 70 professionals, providing leadership, support, and development opportunities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven track record of at least 10 years in quality management roles within the automotive industry, with experience in steering systems preferred.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of automotive normative regulations and standards (e.g., ISO16949, IATF 16949).
- Demonstrated experience in building and optimizing Quality Management Systems (QMS) to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and inspire a large team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on driving results.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
-Fluency in both German and English, spoken and written.
