Head of Customer Service & Logistics
A global player in the chemicals space is looking for a Head of customer service and Logistics for their Site in Dusseldorf. This role will be working closely with the Head of Supply chain to oversee and develop the logistics and customer service functions. This role gives the right person great opportunity to bolster out their own skills while developing new functions in a forward thinking company.
Responsibilities
- Define the logistics & Customer support strategy with the head of supply chain department and other business departments
- Set clear goals for team members in alignment with company's overall objectives
- Conduct negotiations with forwarding and warehousing companies
- Report monthly KPI's to head of Supply Chain
- Oversee accurate and timely processing of Customers orders by team and manage any resolutions of service requests in a timely manner.
- Effectively communicate with customers, sales team and logistics peers and lead them to act accordingly of best practise
- Develop and complete projects defined by Senior Management as well as initiating new projects for customer satisfaction
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in logistics
- 5+ years experience within Logistics/Supply Chain, preferably in a Chemicals environment
- Strong Project Management experience
- Advanced SAP knowledge
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Strong leadership, people management, and team building skills
