A leader in high-quality marine vessels is looking to add an Electrical Designer to their growing team. You will perform calculations and produce drawings in accordance with customer requirements, as well as develop BOM specifications and support all design deliverables. This role will be fully on-site in the Greater New Orleans Area and is open for varying levels of experience from Level I to Level III.
Responsibilities:
- Review contract specifications and determine requirements for shipboard electrical power generation
- Develop detailed bills of materials and purchase technical specifications
- Evaluate vendor furnished quotations and information to ensure compliance with technical documentation
- Support design reviews and act as liaison between subcontracted and internal engineering activities
Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- At least 3+ years of Marine Electrical Design experience
- Shipyard experience with new-build vessel construction
- Experience in electrical system design using AutoCad
