One of the nation's leading packaging organizations in the Tampa area is seeking a Category Manager. This individual will have a focus most heavily on strategic sourcing of various Packaging Materials and Chemicals across the organization. This role is a pivotal and strategic position with exceptional growth opportunity within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Procurement Process for various materials
- Research and negotiate vendor agreements and contracts
- Research market trends and understand inflation/deflation of category
- Support multiple manufacturing facilities
- Establish and manage key supplier relations and supplier negotiations
- Review suppliers and KPI development
- Work cross-functionally with other departments and executives within the company to execute short and long-term objectives
Key Qualifications:
- 5+ years of sourcing experience with packaging and/or chemical categories
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field
- Proven leadership skills
- Proven supplier relationship experience
- Proven cross-functional experience
- The ability to network effectively in the industry
