Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Category Buyer to oversee our professional services spend, specifically within the consultancy and finance categories. In this role, you will be responsible for developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and driving cost savings initiatives to support our business objectives.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for professional services, with a focus on consultancy and finance, to optimize costs and drive value for the organization.
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms to ensure favorable pricing, quality, and service levels.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including Finance, Legal, and Business Units, to understand requirements and align procurement strategies with business needs.
- Monitor market trends and industry developments to identify opportunities for cost savings, innovation, and process improvements.
- Drive supplier performance management initiatives, including regular performance reviews and continuous improvement programs.
- Analyze spend data and identify opportunities for consolidation, standardization, and process optimization to achieve efficiency gains.
- Provide leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams on procurement best practices and compliance requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CIPS) is a plus.
- Proven experience in procurement and strategic sourcing, with a focus on professional services categories, preferably within an industrial or similar environment.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and financial modeling.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Fluency in German and English is required; additional languages are a plus.
- Experience working with procurement systems and tools (e.g., SAP, Coupa) is preferred.
