Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop automation solutions for new and existing machinery.
- Program and configure PLCs, HMIs, and other control systems.
- Conduct system integration, testing, and validation of automated systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation equipment and processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of automation systems.
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including system schematics and manuals.
- Provide training and support to operations and maintenance teams.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in automation technology.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in automation engineering, preferably within the machinery or manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in programming PLCs (Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc.) and HMIs.
- Strong understanding of industrial automation protocols (Profibus, Modbus, Ethernet/IP, etc.).
- Experience with robotic systems and motion control is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of German or French is a plus.
