An industry leading Defense contractor is seeking a strong Sr. Quality Engineer to join their plant leadership team!
This Sr. Quality Engineer will contribute to on-site projects which will have a direct impact on the organization's growth. The candidate will report directly to the Plant Quality Leadership team and will play a critical role in leveraging their strong quality engineering background to participate on projects at portfolio companies in wide-ranging industries.
The Sr. Quality Engineer will have the following responsibilities:
- Identify production issues on-site
- Devise solutions to fix and augment existing issues
- Analyze Blueprints to uncover quality issues
- Utilize Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) to ensure top design quality
- Work with Operations Manager to apply enhancements to the company
- Check on company infrastructure, materials, and production to confirm qualifications are up to standard
- Verify that procedures and materials meet safety requirements
- Create and incorporate quality management networks
- Oversee and detail quality performance of the companies
- Design and construct visual representations of processes
- Use media to create training information
The ideal Sr. Quality Engineer candidate will have the following skill set:
- 3+ years Quality Engineering experience
- Familiar with ISO9001 quality standard
- Experience with GD&T
- Aerospace, defense, or similar technical manufacturing industry experience
- Bachelor's Degree in industrial or mechanical engineering
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong computer skills and experience with the Mac platform
- Ability to think analytically and demonstrate problem-solving skills
- ASQ certification preferred
- Strong working-knowledge of LEAN Principles
