The Vice President of Procurement & Operations will be responsible for managing and directing all back office operations, including supply chain management, procurement, facilities management, and food safety compliance. This role is critical to ensuring operational efficiency and driving strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategy: Provide strategic direction for all back office operations and supply chain activities. Collaborate with executive leadership to align procurement and operational strategies with overall business goals.
Supply Chain Management: Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and products. Optimize processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Procurement: Develop and implement procurement strategies that leverage supplier relationships and market opportunities. Manage vendor selection, negotiation, and contract management to ensure best-in-class service and value.
Facilities Management: Ensure that all facilities meet operational standards and comply with health and safety regulations. Oversee maintenance and improvements to support manufacturing and administrative functions.
Food Safety Compliance: Lead efforts to maintain compliance with food safety regulations and standards. Implement best practices to ensure product safety and quality throughout the supply chain.
Team Development: Mentor and develop cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance. Encourage collaboration and innovation among departments.
Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and present reports to executive leadership, providing insights into supply chain performance, procurement activities, and operational efficiency. Utilize data analytics to drive decision-making.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 10 years in a leadership role overseeing multiple departments within supply chain management, preferably in the food manufacturing sector.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is highly preferred.
Certifications: Lean Six Sigma and other relevant supply chain or procurement certifications are a plus.
Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to communicate and present complex information effectively to executive leadership and stakeholders.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Leadership: Proven track record of leading and motivating teams, driving change, and managing cross-functional initiatives.
Must be comfortable traveling up to 50%
