As a Transportation Planner, you will be crucial in streamlining transportation processes and optimizing shipment management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to optimize the planning, execution, and monitoring of transportation activities, ensuring efficient and accurate shipment processes
- Oversee and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments across ocean, air, road, and rail, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery
- Handle manufacturing shipping and distribution, including processing orders, generating pick lists, and coordinating the dispatch of goods
- Prepare and manage essential shipping documentation, including bills of lading and other necessary paperwork, ensuring smooth and compliant operations
- Engage with suppliers and customers to ensure effective coordination, address issues, and enhance overall transportation performance
- Oversee the movement of goods on the floor and within the building, ensuring accurate handling and efficient logistics operations
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in transportation planning or logistics, with a strong background in using Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation Planning, or a related field preferred
- Strong organizational and coordination abilities, and excellent attention to detail
- Capability to handle multiple tasks efficiently, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain clear communication with all stakeholders
