We are seeking a motivated and experienced Team Leader for our client's Procurement department to ensure the seamless acquisition of materials and supplies essential for their production and operations.
Position Summary:
As the Team Leader - Procurement, you will oversee and manage the buying team, ensuring that all direct and indirect material requirements are met promptly and efficiently. Your role will involve developing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and leading procurement projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Management:
- Supervise and mentor a team (5 FTE) of Buyers and Procurement Support Associates.
- Coordinate tasks, set objectives, and monitor performance to achieve departmental goals.
Procurement Operations:
- Oversee the operational procurement process, from requisition to delivery.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective and timely supply of materials.
Supplier Management:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Monitor supplier performance and manage key performance indicators such as On-Time In-Full (OTIF) delivery, overdue orders, and inventory levels.
Project Leadership:
- Lead and support procurement-related projects to improve efficiency and cost savings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in supply chain or procurement roles.
- At least 3 years of experience in team management or people coaching.
- Proficient in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP.
- Knowledge of NEVI certification is a plus.
