This international company operates across over 50 countries and is seeking to grow their team with like-minded professionals as strategic procurement specialists for raw materials.
Responsibility:
- Responsible for group procurement of raw materials such as sugar, herbs, cocoa and other array of ingredients
- Evaluate and develop the current supplier portfolio with sustainable suppliers
- Conduct POs, RFI and RFQs for group commodities
- Conduct and lead greenfield projects
- Optimize the current cost processes to generate cost savings
- Create an implement qualitative and quantitative strategies across the group and the global plants
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors
- You will further have the opportunity to develop further by visiting trade fairs, production plants and work cross functionally to gain market knowledge
- Conduct quality assurance and audits
Your profile:
- Passionate about sweets
- Experience purchasing raw materials eg ingredients, sugar, herbs, spices etc
- Bachelor's degree - preferably in food technology / flavor industry / pharmaceutical sector (Open to others)
- Fluent English and B2 German (Other languages are a bonus)
- Excellent project management skills
- Willingness to travel 20%
