This role will focus on vendor management, accomplishing cost savings goals, and improving the overall procurement team. Job Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the procurement team's financial performance to implement cost saving measures and increase efficiency
- Identify internal and external stakeholders' needs
- Redefine the procurement team's goals to represent the organization's including cost savings, effective sourcing, and vendor management
- Negotiate supplier contracts to mitigate risks
- Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate process improvements
- Utilize strategic sourcing and procurement skills
- Develop supplier performance reviews to evaluate them vs business requirements
- Manage a team of professionals
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management
- Experience in the life science industry including biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or chemicals
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP systems
- Vendor management experience with the ability to foster relationships
