We are seeking a passionate and experienced Project Manager - Supply Chain Sustainability to lead our client's sustainability initiatives within their supply chain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing sustainability programs that align with their corporate goals and values. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong project management skills, a deep understanding of supply chain sustainability principles, and the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and Implement Supply Chain Sustainability Strategies:
- Create and execute comprehensive supply chain sustainability strategies that align with the company's goals.
- Identify opportunities for reducing environmental impact across the supply chain, including sourcing, production, distribution, and waste management.
Program Management:
- Manage supply chain sustainability projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to drive project success and sustainability outcomes.
Supplier Engagement:
- Collaborate with suppliers to promote sustainable practices and ensure they meet the company's sustainability standards.
- Engage with external partners, including suppliers, NGOs, and regulatory bodies, to advance supply chain sustainability initiatives.
Performance Tracking and Reporting:
- Develop metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of supply chain sustainability programs.
- Prepare regular reports on supply chain sustainability performance for internal stakeholders and external reporting.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in supply chain sustainability.
- Foster a culture of innovation by identifying and implementing new supply chain sustainability initiatives and technologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Supply Chain Management, Sustainability, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain sustainability program management, preferably in the food industry.
- Strong project management skills with a proven track record of managing complex projects.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Dutch is a plus.
