Programing & Automation Engineer needed for leading global milk and whey protein ingredients manufacturer in Wisconsin
This long established and continuously growing nutritional ingredient manufacturer is looking to add to their engineering team. Over its 75-year history this organization has become the world's largest producer of whey protein in the world. All while constantly improving their quality ingredients and further expanding their nutritional portfolio.

Programming & Automation Engineer will have the following responsibilities:
- Designs, codes, tests, and debugs moderately complex programs. Modify existing programming to keep the process running. Changes code in the programming as needed to achieve the correct outcome of the process.
- Perform duties related to preventative, routine, and emergency maintenance of the control/networking systems. Verifies and backs up all changes in controls logic for restore.
- Keep local management informed of potential issues. Keep track of any changes that have been made to any of the programming in the system while keeping the manager and supervisor aware of any changes made.
- Will need to travel around 55% of the time to various Wisconsin manufacturing facilities.
The ideal candidate will have the following skill set:
- Associates Degree or equivalent required
- 1-3 years of strong programming experience or equivalent in a food processing plant
- Strong mechanical/programming aptitude
- Independent with little to no oversight needed
- Strong communication skills
