A prominent chemical company servicing restaurants, supermarkets, food and beverage manufacturers, hospitals, and many more businesses, is now looking to hire a new Logistics Manager to join their team to help lead distribution operations including receiving, inventory, shipping, team member relations, quality, and financial oversight of operations budget. This position emphasizes growth and leadership, attracting only the very best to help develop the company and provide excellent service to their wide range of customers.
Key Responsibilities:
ยท Help lead the team in implementing a new WMS solution
ยท Plan future state technology for the warehouse
ยท Lead service agenda shipping, delivering on time and in full above 95%
ยท Develop processes and adherence measures to guarantee success around proper warehousing practices
ยท Handle the financial budget and deliver annual cost saving initiatives to enable growth
ยท Grow leadership team to include Associate Logistics Manager, Team Leaders, Hourly Leads, and admin staff to enable career growth and development
ยท Create world class safety culture and program to guarantee the ensure team members are safe
ยท Develop and Participate in routine engagement activities to strengthen team environment, making sure all team members have a voice
ยท Collaborate cross-functionally with Transportation, Planning, Finance, Quality, Manufacturing, and Safety to deliver projects, productivity, and supply chain efficiencies
ยท Manage capital spend projects within his/her scope of duties and encourages and advances strong relationship with local and national vendors/suppliers
ยท Achieves or surpasses all KPIs around Safety, Service and Savings
ยท Additional duties as assigned
The successful candidate will ideally have:
ยท Bachelor's degree
ยท Experience in logistics, supply chain, and/or customer service environments
ยท Previous work with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, and/or JD Edwards)
ยท No immigration sponsorship available for this specific position
Preferred Qualifications
ยท Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation, Engineering, Business, or related field
ยท SAP experience in a warehouse environment
ยท 5+ years experience in logistics (shipping and receiving) or related industries
ยท Previous leadership and/or training experience
- Understading of ISO or other quality management systems
- Experience with TPM, Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma systems
- Knowledge of FDA, OSHA, WHMIS and TDG systems
- Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records
- Strong customer service, organizational and administrative skills
- Excellent interpersonal, communication skill (written and verbal) and problem solving skills
