Business Development Manager Sea Freight Bulk
As Business Development Manager at our client (sea freight), you are responsible for generating new business in the Benelux.
You report directly to the Field Sales Manager and you work closely together in a fun and close-knit team of specialists. In this team, everyone takes on their own role independently and we support and help each other in further developing the market. You will be warmly welcomed!
We work from a one-face-to-the-customer principle. So you are not only responsible for acquiring new customers, you also get the opportunity to strengthen and expand the bond with your customers.
Main areas of focus:
- Acquiring, managing and expanding customers.
- Mapping customer needs and linking them to the desired service/transport solution.
- Building a relationship of trust with your customer.
- Pricing
- Cross-selling.
- Maintaining a healthy pipeline and achieving sales targets and KPIs.
- Building an internal and external network, seeking cooperation within the internal organization.
- Ensuring optimal service provision.
This is you
You are extrovert, energetic, a natural optimist and you exude self-confidence. You enjoy acquiring customers and figuring out the right customer approach. You have experience in selling logistics and transport services in a competitive market. You can work independently as well as in a team.
Furthermore, you have:
- HBO work and thinking level.
- Relevant work experience in a comparable environment and knowledge of freight forwarding.
- Demonstrable sales successes.
- Excellent organizational skills and experience with CRM systems.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Good command of the Dutch and English language, both spoken and written.
