DSJ Global is currently partnered with a large industrial composites manufacture looking to add a Environmental Manager to their Flagship site in Salt Lake City.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Compliance Manager to join our team. This pivotal role will focus primarily on ensuring compliance with Title V and air quality regulations, as well as overseeing permitting efforts for our water treatment facility. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in maintaining our site's ISO 14001 certification and ensuring that our operations align with all applicable environmental laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and ensure compliance with Title V and air quality regulations.
- Manage and coordinate permitting activities for the site's water treatment facility.
- Conduct environmental audits and assessments to maintain ISO 14001 certification.
- Develop and implement environmental compliance programs and initiatives.
- Stay updated on changes in environmental regulations and ensure company-wide awareness and adherence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate environmental considerations into business operations.
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports, permits, and other required documentation accurately and on time.
- Respond to environmental incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3+ years of progressive experience in environmental compliance within a manufacturing environment, preferably in industries dealing with chemical processes or industrial materials. Demonstrated experience with environmental regulatory compliance, particularly with Title V regulations, is essential.
- In-depth knowledge and practical experience with Title V compliance requirements, air quality regulations (e.g., Clean Air Act), and permitting processes is required. Experience managing and coordinating permits for a water treatment facility is highly desirable.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Experience managing water treatment facility permitting and compliance preferred.
- Knowledge of ISO 14001 standards and experience maintaining certification.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Certified Environmental Professional (CEP) or similar certification is a plus.
