Overview:
The Specialty Chemicals Company is seeking a dedicated and experienced Electrical/Instrumental Supervisor to join their team in Speyer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all electrical and instrumentation activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and optimising the performance of the plant's electrical and instrumentation systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision and Leadership: Lead and supervise a team of electricians and instrumentation technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Maintenance and Repairs: Ensure the timely and efficient maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all electrical and instrumentation equipment.
- Project Management: Oversee and coordinate electrical and instrumentation projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required standards.
- Compliance and Safety:Ensure all work complies with relevant safety regulations, codes, and standards. Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to enhance the reliability and efficiency of electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all electrical and instrumentation activities, including maintenance logs, project documentation, and safety reports. Provide regular updates to senior management.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to support overall plant operations and achieve organisational goals.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within the chemical, manufacturing, or a similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems, including PLCs, DCS, and SCADA.
- Excellent understanding of safety regulations and compliance requirements.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using maintenance management software and other relevant computer applications.
- Fluent in German; proficiency in English is an advantage.
