Summary:
DSJ Global is currently partnered with a leading food production company who is looking to add a strong Environmental Health and Safety Manager in Virginia. This individual will primarily be responsible for ensuring safety thrives through the culture of the company, assessing and implementing new safety policies/programs, and conducting investigations into any on-site incidents using Root Cause Analysis methodology. EHS Manager Responsibilities:
- Guide teams to create efficient processes through continuous improvement methods
- Continue safety culture throughout company and collaborate with different teams to ensure success
- Assess and evaluate safety areas to improve upon
- Conduct safety trainings and meetings
- Identify risks and hazards
EHS Manager Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Safety Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Safety Management, Engineering, or any related field
- Minimum of 3 years of Safety Experience; Food industry is a plus!
- Proven knowledge of Federal, State, and Local Safety laws including OSHA and FDA regulations; USDA certifications are a plus
- Undeniably strong leadership and communication skills
