Job Description:
A leading food manufacturing company is seeking an experienced EHS Manager with expertise in manufacturing safety. Responsibilities include developing and implementing safety programs to ensure regulatory compliance and reduce incidents. Candidates should excel in hazard identification, risk assessment, and training development, with a commitment to fostering a safe work environment.
Measures Of Success:
- Implement food safety programs based on HACCP guidelines.
- Manage comprehensive EHS programs covering environmental compliance, workplace safety, and employee health.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and investigate workplace incidents to prevent recurrence.
- Oversee hazardous materials management and ensure environmental regulation compliance.
- Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal safety regulations.
- Develop safety programs and train employees on hazard communication and PPE use.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate EHS considerations into daily operations.
- Maintain accurate EHS documentation and manage resources effectively.
- Monitor and report monthly KPIs.
- Implement Corporate initiatives as necessary.
Ideal Candidate Attributes:
- Bachelor's degree in food science, environmental science, occupational safety, or related field preferred.
- Experience in the food industry.
- Strong understanding of safety and environmental regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- CSP or relevant safety certification a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
