Company Summary: An up-and-coming pharmaceutical company in New Jersey is looking for a Director of Procurement to manage and drive huge cost-savings initiatives with third-party external manufacturing suppliers. The role will provide high-visibility and interaction with senior leaders and all aspects of the Supply Chain, giving the right candidate ample growth opportunities within the company. The Director of Procurement will be responsible for:
- Supporting supplier cost savings initiatives, especially within CDMO network
- Interface with finance to establish EBITDA values for initiatives
- Proactively manage ongoing rating and tiering system for existing CDMOs
- Establishing supplier relationship with a bias for continuous improvement
- Providing leadership and direction for cross-functional teams with high performing engagement models across business units
- Review and negotiate contract terms and conditions both with internal and external stakeholders
- Manage supplier contract listing and database submissions
The Director of Procurement should have the following qualifications:
- 10 years combined experience in sourcing/procurement
- 3 years in procurement of manufacturing services from third-party CDMO supplier (CMO/EMO)
- Bachelor's degree required (technical field desired)
- MBA and Procurement Certification preferred
- CDMO/CMO/EMO experience required with preference for pharma industry
