My client-
I am currently working with a global player in stainless, electrical and specialty steel, with customers in over 40 countries. The business is organized in three primary operating segments: Stainless & Electrical Steel, Services & Solutions and Alloys & Specialties. The company has a flat Stainless and Electrical steel capacity of 2.5 million tons in Brazil and Europe and is a leader in high value specialty products. Spread over six production facilities in Brazil, Belgium and France, the company has a highly integrated distribution, processing and services network and a unique capability to produce stainless and special steels from low-cost biomass. In 2020, they had sales of EUR 3,624 million and steel shipments of 1.68 million tons so they really are a global player within this market.
Tasks-
- Conduct spend, category, market, and supplier landscape analysis for global categories
- Research and identify global potential suppliers
- Consolidate business input and Procurement requirements with suitable suppliers together with key stakeholders, prepare and issue RFPs for global category requirements
- Conduct detailed risk due of prospective suppliers and flag critical topics
- Finalize supplier contracts and manage relationships for global suppliers after onboarding throughout customer life cycle
- Evaluate and develop global key suppliers together with key stakeholders
Desired experience and qualifications:
- 5 years+ experience in a strategic Procurement roles within MRO, Capex, technical services and
- University degree in Business Administration or comparable
- Contractual experience, with a background in technology contracts (e.g. Consultants, Temp Labor, Recruiters);
- Strong experience along the entire Source-to-Contract process with large Services suppliers
- Passion for the services supply market along with a solid commercial background
- Percussiveness, excellent analytical and communication skills and fluency in English and desirable German
